Your working material stays local

You can write, prompt and record without creating a Teleprompter Focus account. The app has no cloud script library or cross-device sync. Voice-follow and caption processing use on-device speech rather than sending your take to a content server.

This makes a private rehearsal straightforward: create a script, record it and review the result on the phone. Production app analytics collection is disabled; development instrumentation is limited to explicitly opted-in Debug sessions.

Prepare before recording offline

Local editing, prompting and recording do not need a content-server connection. Voice-follow and captions additionally need supported speech recognition and locally available language support. Test those features with your script before an offline session.

Downloading the app, purchasing or restoring a subscription, and retrieving a cloud-hosted source document can require a connection. On-device processing is not a promise that every external service works offline.

Decide where exported copies go

Save to Photos creates a copy in Photos, where your own iCloud Photos settings may apply. Save to Files uses the location you choose, which may be local or cloud-backed. Share… hands the video to your chosen destination.

The app’s local library is separate from those exported copies. Deleting one copy does not mean every copy has been removed. Consider your iPhone backup settings too; local storage is not a claim that system backups are disabled.

For sensitive work, check the destination before exporting and protect the phone itself. For important work, keep a deliberate backup: the app does not provide an account-based recovery or sync service. See how imported scripts become local copies.
