The Recordings library holds your saved takes on your iPhone. Use it to compare takes, play them back, export clean or captioned copies, and delete videos you no longer need.

Find a saved take

Open All recordings from the Scripts screen to see saved takes, newest first. Each entry identifies the script, date, and duration. A script also has its own recordings view, which shows only takes associated with that script.

If a script-specific list is empty, check the main Recordings library. If saving failed after capture, follow the recovery options shown by the app rather than assuming a library entry was created.

Review video and sound

Tap a recording to open its review screen, then tap Play. Check the sound as well as the image before exporting. Playback controls let you pause and move through the video.

Video Unavailable means the saved entry has no playable video available. Export and captions controls are disabled when the media cannot be loaded. Check whether you previously saved a separate copy in Photos or Files.

Export a clean recording

  1. Open the recording and tap Export video.
  2. Choose Save to Photos for a Photos copy, or Share Video / Save to Files for the iOS share sheet.
  3. In the share sheet, choose Save to Files or an available app or device. Complete that destination’s save or send action.

Export Options lets you choose Original, 1080p, or 720p and H.264 MOV, H.264 MP4, or HEVC MOV. Exports never upscale beyond the captured size. Changing format or size may require re-encoding; wait for it to finish.

Make a captioned copy

Open the recording and tap Captions. An active trial or subscription is required. Captions are burned into a separate exported video; the library original remains without captions. Editing the script later does not change the script captured with an earlier take.

Follow Captions and Export for caption sources and the captioned sharing flow. Use Export video from recording review when you want the clean original.

Delete an unwanted take

In the library, open the recording’s ellipsis menu and choose Delete Recording, then confirm. You can also use the ellipsis menu in recording review. Swiping a list entry to delete also asks for confirmation.

Copies already saved to Photos, Files, or another app are separate and are not deleted by this action.

Keep copies outside the app

Teleprompter Focus stores its library on your iPhone and does not provide an account or cloud library sync. Saving a take in the app is separate from saving it to Photos or Files.

Export important takes before deleting the app or changing phones. To reclaim storage, first verify that an export plays correctly in its destination, then delete the in-app recording. Destinations such as iCloud Drive or Photos may sync exported copies according to your own device settings.
